Thirty four Firefly episodes based on Elton John Song titles. Glorious. There's no other word for it.

It got mentioned as a comment yesterday, figured it deserved a higher profile.

While a lot of them are good, considering the number of episodes we actually got, far too many of them described episodes we've seen. It's cute though.

Sigh. Some great ideas (though a few seemed a bit of a stretch). It would've been nice to actually see them.

Also, the Buffy episodes based on Elvis titles are made of win. Most of them would've worked best pre-season four, but that's cool too.

Meh. Seemed to just take the title of the song and use that, not actually use any of the story told in that song.

Rocket Man is about a guy leaving his family and going off alone, but the story her was just a guy who'd built a rocket pack.

The Buffy episodes Where the Wild Things Are and Who Are You didn't have anything to do with the stories of the works they took their titles from either. I don't think the point was to adapt the story of the songs into the story of the episodes.

Also, 'Candle in the Wind' is set down a mine where THERE'S NO WIND AND CANDLES ARE A POTENTIAL EXPLOSION HAZARD !

There're actually some pretty decent story ideas in there IMO, kudos.

Very clever! I tried to do the same thing with my favorite band, the French progressive band Magma (www.seventhrecords.com), but it does not work so well:

On a completely unrelated note...anybody know anything about the progress of 'Goners'? is it dead? Because I still want to see that turn into something.
