Is that Joss Whedon?
A familiar face makes a guest appearance in the first issue of Bendis' and Oeming's relaunched series POWERS.

Personally, let's see SuperJoss take on Captain Hammer, with Dr. Horrible sitting in the sidelines, eating popcorn.
ETA: come to think of it, could SuperJoss be related to Gwen Raiden?

And that goes for anyone who decides to create Super Tim Minear, too.

Looks more like a Supervillain to me. He is fighting a cop.
BTW, Oeming was asked who he would like to star in the planned Powers TV show and he mentioned Nathan Fillion as Walker and Katee Sackhoff as Deena. Too bad both are on other shows right now.

Heh, like it. Also, is it just me or does his costume look a bit, well, purple ?

Panel 2: "BY THE BELT OF MARTI NOXON, I SHALL WRITE THE SAME ENDTO YOU WITH MY HANDS OF DOOM™!"
Panel 3: "BUT WAIT: NO ONE'S HAD THE TIME TO GROW ATTACHED TO YOU YET. FOLLOW ME AS I LEAD YOU UP, UP AND AWAY ON A MAGNIFICENT STORY ARC!"
Panel 4: Thought balloon: "OOF. FIVE-POINT LANDING."
Panel 5: Thought balloon: "I REALLY SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED HIM TO DO THAT."
Panel 6: Thought balloon: "DANG, NOW I'M CHASING A WHOLE NOTHER DUDE."
Panel 7: BLAM!
Panel 8: "HEY! OVER HERE! BEHOLD THE AWESOME TWISTY-TURNY POWER OF . . . DOCTOR SCRIPT!"

Sooo, Powers, eh? Been hearing good buzz for, well, quite some time now. Should I buy and read (I'm assuming the first bit's out in TPB)?

And no, his powers are not those of cancellation, but rather he's more of a Phoenix, rising again and so on.

If you start from the beginning, you'll see a rich tapestry of story telling that spans amazing locations (including outer space) and awesome, gritty noir dialog. This is not your father's crime procedural.

A phrase like that demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the sequential graphic arts...
Or hands at least (of which i've long felt I have an intuitive grasp).
