Best Buy has Firefly: The Complete Series on DVD for only $12.99. Still have folks that never seen or heard of our BDHs? Now there is no excuse. Sale price good until November 14th.

Wow! Awesome price. Just ordered a copy simply on principle.
Never watched it, but at that price I may buy it! I just hope it matches up to my expectations.
It's on sale at the Canadian site, too (wonder of wonders!). They apparently haven't noticed the exchange rate has changed, but still $19.99 ain't too shabby.
Might pick up a copy for a stocking stuffer (or 11).
Okay, this is weird... I was just buying a new set this morning (because my cousin's son hasn't returned my set and I don't want to wrest it from him before he is done) and I thought I did good at $21 from eBay (actually w/free shipping that IS a good deal). But I wonder if a Best Buy is near me?
I excitedly ran over to see if the blu ray was on sale too, only to be greeted by a $70 price tag.

Nevermind.
Thanks for the heads up. I just picked this up (only one set in stock) at my local Best Buy.
I've owned the set basically since it came out, but at a price this good, I'm tempted to buy it again.
Do they ship international?
Good time to bump the "Firefly for firefighters" meme, as has been addressed previously. I've donated discs purchased during prior online sales to my local fire station and our family's rural volunteer fire department - which in both cases were much appreciated (and in the latter case a welcome topic of discussion during the annual fundraiser potluck.)

Here's a good write-up on F4F from the Universal HD board.
As a broke college student, still not going to happen, but posting these deals to Facebook with the words "hint hint presents hint hint" is always fun...
Time for some early Christmas shopping!
I'm going to get one.
Woo hoo! The local Best Buy had one set and I bought it (the box said $39.99 but it rang up at the register as $12.99!).
Shit, I paid about 50$ At my Barnes & Nobles for the complete series about half a year ago, and thi is the third time I;ve seen it for under 30$ ;P
I bought 6...lol.

One to replace my beaten loaner set that has been making the rounds since February, one to keep for myself, and four to give as gifts!
Great News!

Sounds like it would make for a great donation to a local library.
Awesome!
I needed to pick up a new copy so this is perfect.
Donating to the library is a good idea, I know Chuck fans are doing a drive for that right now. I should buy a backup copy, since I loan mine out CONSTANTLY! :)
@xMaliciousMal Amazon has the Blu-ray version for $49. Still not a perfect price, but better than the $70 tag. :)

And I definitely had to pick up a copy. I gave away my normal DVD set to a friend after I got it on Blu-ray and later realized that I still only had a regular DVD player in my home office. *facepalm*
They were all sold out at my local Best Buy store. Washington, DC whedonesquers who went earlier to the store than I did, perhaps?
If you can't find any more copies at your local Best Buy, grab one of the store circulars and go to Target or another place that will price match. Target, in particular, will only match from a physical copy of the circular. It will not accept a print out from the computer, and you can't get it if you show it to them on your phone. It has to be the current weekly ad from Best Buy.

One heck of a sale. It's back-ordered on the site but I think they'll honor the price if you order it now.
If you're in Canada and cannot get a copy from Best Buy, Amazon.ca is also offering the complete series for $19.99 right now.
Psst, keep an eye out for V or Castle fans. They just might be in the mood to pick up a prior series for $12.99.
That is interesting that Amazon.ca has a lowered price, I was looking at Amazon.com yesterday and they wanted $39 for the Firefly DVDs (way more for Blue Ray of course).
I really hope they lower the Blu Ray price. I have been wanting to pick it up but as usual Blu Ray is way overpriced.
Frick, I envy you...it's all there before you, brand new. How wonderful.

Bought about a dozen sets when it first came out, conversions as well as Christmas gifts.

Will swing by BestBuy on the way home tonight.

I may have to try this for some stocking stuffers - but... wait, there are more of us in/around DC? *waves*
