The choice is tough. I voted for Dawnie because:

1. She's my favorite.
2. I knew all the other choices were gonna get votes.
3. I like rooting for the underdog.
4. Michelle Trachtenberg needs an opportunity to shine as Dawnie, out from under the shadow of Dawnie's sister.
5. I already have a plotline in mind that'd blow everyone away. Not that I'd ever get a chance to write it.

I can't believe people are voting for Buffy. She had a show for seven years. If SMG wanted to remain on television we woulda had a season eight. She wanted to leave. I say let her be gone for at least a year. Let her go try movies and learn how easy she had it with a regular tv gig.

You got the werewolf chick now as a potential recurring character. I say build up a romance between her and Angel, but it's one of those kinda fling things where they both like each other but it just doesn't work out. THEN have Oz enter the picture.

Have Xander show up with his one eye and get this -- he's got TWENTY scythe slayers who have befriended him and are devoted and loyal and just think he's cool (y'know cuz he is), and the 21 of them STORM WOLFRAM & HART. Completely shocking the lawfirm's intense defensive systems. Xander and the Slayers are prepared for everything and they bring W&H to its knees, and Angel and the gang find themselves defending W&H against the slayer squadron, led by our dear friend Xander.

The character that I would like to see most on Angel is Faith. She is by far the best looking woman in the Buffyverse, and let's face it, with the departure of Lilah last year and with the departure of "hot" Cordy two years ago (you should know what I mean) Angel has been seriously suffering in its hottie factor.

Furthermore, Faith has history and chemistry with Wesley and Angel, and also Spike (remember the sparks we saw during their brief encounters last year?). Alas, we won't see Faith again, I suspect, until FtVS is a mid-season replacement NEXT season.

Naturally, I voted for Giles. By far the best looking man in the Buffyverse. And despite having almost an all male cast, Angel is seriously lacking in that department. I'd vote for Xander or Andrew next.

I agree with brother_grady when it comes to the girls.

I'm with Tamara...I miss Giles a lot, but Xander terribly...and he's never been on Angel, whereas Buffy, Faith, Willow, and even Oz have been...I'm sure Giles would work well with the show somehow, but the Xander/Angel tension could be very interesting in LA...maybe something involving Cordy, too...

I would really like to see Giles or Xander. Unfortunately, if you read some of the old interviews from Nicholas Brenden he pretty much stated the ME had given him the cold shoulder as to the possibility of coming over to AtS...That is really too bad, because out of the entire Buffy group Nicholas is the only one who was not picked up for another project...And man, I really miss Xander!

Much as I love Xander, and it's tons, Giles makes better dramatic sense...he'd be interesting to play against Wesley, and Fred, as well...she'd find him...fascinating, I have to think, adding a whole new layer of emotional tension.

Gunn will not be cut. And I don't think he should. He was "chosen" by the Senior Partners...we have to find out why...and how everybody deals with that....

I really hope Nick has great things in store for himself and for us...

If anyone is interested...Nick had started a pilot for Fox that was not picked up for this fall...Also, he and his wife were working on a morning/daily talk show for this fall as well...I really think NB was disapointed that ME didn't make overt plans to bring him over to AtS but then again, none of the other BtVS characters have appeared just yet. But all in all, I most identified with the ZanMan and would really like to see his character again...And give him his eye back please!!!

But you're right, Giles would make more sense for continuity and dramatic development.

Whenever I read NB speak about the possibility, he vetoed it, saying that Angel and Xander had never gotten along and that there would be zero reason for him to go to L.A. Never heard disappointment at all.

Read between the lines brother_grady...Why would he dissmiss his only potential acting gig because the characters didn't get along? And the interview you are quoting was from his manager/publicist which means it is gauranteed to spin his situation...Read between the lines...
