I've seen it too and started surfing and checking e-mail about half way through. The WB promo promised scary goodness, but it's mostly Spike talking to himself and walking very sloooooowly through the Wolfram and Hart office.

Angel has the best line: "God, I really hate that word!"

You know..I'm kinda confused...I remember reading an excerpt from one of the DragonCon interviews with James Marsters in which he admits that Spike does become corporeal (a red-herring or letting the cat out of the bag? You be the judge)...I know that it is entirely possible that this transformation would occur several weeks down the line but I sincerely believe that long-time fans and the "new-bloods" watching this season will soon grow tired of watching a "ghost" Spike for more than five weeks into the season.
Additionally, I find it highly unlikely that ME would keep Spike in his "ghost" state for the remainder of this season as James confirmed that he signed on for two seasons (if AtS makes it to season six) I believe that most viewers would become tired of the "ghost" bit...Unfortunately, I am already one of them.

I think the ghost bit is comedy gold. Be careful using the word, "most" when referring to about 5 million folks.

I used "most" on purpose because after another five weeks see how you feel about it...And the difference between a non-corporeal "ghost" and a vampire could just about fill the Grand Canyon...And I never commented on Spike becoming human...just solid.

I enjoy Ghost Spike for now...for one thing it's allowing Spike and Angel to have some truly genuine moments that I don't think they'd be having otherwise. I sincerely appreciate the way ME is handling it, they're not making it easy for Spike by turning everything back to normal so quickly. He has to earn it. Besides, if he's gonna stick around and help Angel after he gets a solid body back, they're gonna have to set up some sort of teamwork between Spike and the rest of Angel's crew. It's something that they've ALWAYS done at ME. It's called character motivation.
