Joss Whedon on Sky News. He was talking about the current popularity of vampires.

Missed the clip but it's bound to be repeated during the morning. Plus you can read what he said in the linked article (unfortunately the embedded clip on the newsite doesn't feature him).

Damn, he's pithy.
Joss! Stop working with Fox!

(Joking, but Sky is part of News Corp. The irony of them cutting him out of the online clip amuses me. Even in a news report they cancelled him.)
"It is terribly romantic, it is a romanticised other. It's the monster we all want to be or want to date. So it's going to keep coming," he said.

One world over ...

Sky News: First of all we're huge fans Jess ...

Joss: Joss.

Sky News: ... yeah man light some up, buddha rocks ! Anyhoo, we love your response, really, it's primo stuff. It's literally exactly what we were after. Coupla tweaks ... take "the monster" ... we love "the monster" so let's get it up front where people can see it, yeah ? Instead of dumping it in the second sentence ?

Joss: OK, wher-

Sky News: After "terribly".

Joss: "It is terribly the monster" ? Are you su-

Sky News: Punchy, y'see ? From the street. The kids will love it.

Joss: But it doesn't make any sens-

Sky News: Now, "to date". We love it, let's be clear about that. It tested very well with test subjects. Kids date, kids can't get enough of dating, in many ways dating is the Pokemon of the 18-49 demographic, after Pokemon. So let's not bury what is essentially the thrust of your answer y'know ?

Joss: I'm not sure it's the thrus-

Sky News: So here's what we have so far "'It is terribly the monster. We all want to date while watching Fox Sky' he said."

Joss: Nnnnnggghhhhhhhh...
