Discussion of Dollhouse at website The Moth Chase. Very intelligent and interesting set of reviews/reactions to episodes beginning with "The Public Eye"/"The Left Hand." Some of my favourite writing on season two.

A snippet: "Taken as a modern reflection on the conditions of its own possibility, Epitaph One and Dollhouse more broadly finds itself in the strange predicament of attacking corporatism while relying on Fox for its existence, on questioning technology while depending on the same for its actuality, on decrying the objectification of women while lavishly promoting itself by means of Eliza Dushku’s scantily clad body, on championing freedom while revealing the fundamental impossibility of its reality."

Not a bad read at all. I don't agree with their assessment of the latest episodes, but their points are very interesting and deserve further exploration.
It was a very interesting read. I don't agree with everything they've discussed, but the fresh look on community & the parallels/differences between Echo/Alpha/Omega/Caroline are fascinating.

And "Getting Closer" was genius writing. We don't need to wait for the last 2 episodes to know that. ;)
