Enver Gjokaj Has a New Webseries: Previously on Point Dume. Enver will be producing as well as starring as Bron the Landscapist in the production, which we can now confirm will be an exclusive for http://www.funnyordie.com/.

We've seen some of it and it's quirky and fun. We will update with the actual live link for public consumption when it becomes available, but wanted to get the word out there for the man who was one of our favorite reasons to tune in to Dollhouse every week.

"Something is hiding in the wealthy beach enclave of Point Dume. A
dark secret so so secretive it could take at least five seasons to
reveal. When big city-boy Lazlo Wood returns home for his father's
funeral, his nosy questions threaten to dig up more than just a
corpse. What exactly is his step-mother Ginabeth hiding in the
pantry? What exactly is Professor Pyle injecting local children with?
And when exactly will Bron the Landscapist ever wear a shirt? These
and other mysteries promise to almost never be explained in this new
recap show for the greatest nighttime soap opera never seen, Point
Dume."

Can someone say, "heck yes?!?!"
Very much heck yes!
Oh hell yeah. This is awesome news!
Or just Yay, more Enver Gjokaj!
Heck yes for more Enver! But I am a little disappointed that it's not something more ambitious. He certainly deserves a bigger audience! (Yes, bigger Dollhouse... well Dollhouse deserved a bigger audience than Dollhouse.)
Yesss, more Enver on our screens = a good thing. Not quite sure about the series from just the short description available, though. Still: I'll be sure to watch this. And so will tons of his fans who love the sight of shirtless Enver as, apparently, his character almost never wears one :p.
I occasionally blog web series reviews, someone on the other end give me that password. ;)
This is the happiest I've been all day, and that's saying something.

Producing and starring in a web series isn't ambitious? Try telling that to Felicia Day. Or on second thought, watch Felicia Day's Streamy Awards acceptance speech. I say it's more ambitious to go out there and make your own production.
A comedy with shirtless Enver? I know a lady who will be pleased.
I'll bet you know several ladies who will be pleased. :)
At least several - it is fun :)
This web series won me over so fast. I'll be waiting excitedly for this one.
And I wonder what he was doing on the Fox lot last week. Maybe just visiting friends. Not teasing. I really don't know.
We may be able to provide some screencaps to whet your appetites. The password protected vid has been removed to avoid frustrating folks. P.S. - thank you, Twitter, for hot buttered #fail.

electricspacegirl, this was exactly my second thought, after "But why isn't he doing a blockbuster?" Haha, it is an interesting move, especially for our touted golden boy, and I'm so very psyched right now...

gossi- Haha, I may not be the lady you speak of, but what young lady isn't insanely pleased about this? We've gone, what, 6 or 7 Victorless weeks now... (Okay, perhaps I'm a little rabid for Enver.)
"And when exactly will Bron the Landscapist ever wear a shirt?" How about never?

So when does this thing start?
If the writings as good as the description this should be great.
Shirtless Enver?!?!?!

Totally in, if just for that. This kinda sounds like something my friends and I wanted to make. Not plot-wise, but fake-soap opera wise.

I now have something to look forward to in my life, yay!
Starts Monday.
And now the video embed is gone altogether anyway.
THANK GOODNESS. I was beginning to have nightmares that once Dollhouse was over he'd mysteriously vanish and we'd never see him again... *shivers* I don't want to go back to living in a world without Enver Gjokaj!
I love a good soap opera, so a fake soap with a shirtless Enver? Count me in as one of the (more than) several ladies who is very pleased. Very very pleased. Did I say very?
Not only is it Enver, but it's shirtless Enver? Heck yes! This was very much worth all the Twitter suspense! Thanks zeitgeist!!
zeitgeist, do you mean you'll update this post, or that you'll make a new post to Whedonesque? For the time being, I'm bookmarking this one, just to be safe; I don't want to lose track of this project!
It's a glorious pastiche of Dynasty and Dallas and their ilk.
Mercenary, don't worry. Something like that will be front page material.
Yes please! Monday can't come soon enough.

Yeah, ambitious was the wrong word I guess. How about: I wish he'd do something more high profile. Of course we all here will watch anything with Enver because we know he's good. I'm just sorry for the rest of the world. ;)
If you want more high profile look up his newest IMDB credited movie project, Stone, also starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, Milla Jovovich and Frances Conroy - I imagine that will help.

Guess what, that's what I just did before coming back here. Yeah, that looks good. Especially since he's playing a younger version of Robert De Niro's character. Now in most movies that means that it's a minor role. But a) He is at position 5 on that movie's list of actors (3 of which are big stars) and b) (More importanty) We know how incredibly good Enver is at mimicking someone else. This is perfect. Can't wait to see Gjokaj doing De Niro!

So this gives me a lot more happy than the Point Dume news (not that I'll miss that either). Sorry for being off topic! (Was there a post here on Stone before and I missed it?)
This is great news - can't wait to see the webseries plus that film on Imdb sounds very interesting.

Enver is too talented not to be working.
There was an interview where EG talked about the role in "Stone." It sounds like he's got some fairly intense scenes, so whether or not the role is large, it sounds like his sequences are very important to the film.
Does Enver have an official website?
Does Enver have an official website?

No. There's a fan site (www.enver-gjokaj.com) and a facebook fan site, but no official site.
this looks great,I'll be happy to see Enver again
Ditto on the uberhappiness =) Plus, I love the little Angel callout: Point Dume, mwahahaha!
This makes me happy. I can't wait to see it!
Enver needs to get on twitter and start promoting this thing.
Working on that, esg. People should see this series.
Not a fake soap opera but the recaps for an imaginary soap opera. What a clever way to deal with the time constraints of web series. Kudos to whoever thought this premise up.
I have been on Twitter making people crazy with hints prior to the announcement. I think it's very fun from what I've seen so far and it's great to see folks who haven't seen it, but are so excited as well. It's a testament to Enver's performances in DH that folks like gossi and others in this thread are signing up sight unseen.
It's sad that in the io9 piece it's indicated he keeps running into people who don't know what Twin Peaks is. By sad I mean criminal. By criminal I mean these people must be punished.

Gjokaj plays the "Lothario landscapist," Ron, as well as Ron's nemesis/doppleganger, Bron. And indeed, he never wears a shirt, and the first segment includes full-on Enver-on-Enver action. "They're kind of like enemies-slash-weirdly attracted to each other, because thye're both complete egomaniacs," explains Gjokaj. "We've got some bizarre things planned."

This sounds awesome.
What if you rented the first season of Twin Peaks on DVD back in the day (before Season 2 saw release in the Complete Series set), liked it quite a lot, but never got around to the rest ("Fire Walk With Me", Season 2, and I don't think the pilot was on the Season 1 set either, but could be wrong about that) ? Punishment still a necessity ?

When something takes too long to get a follow-up release (Everwood's another one that comes to mind), I sorta feel like I've lost the thread of it, the feel for it. It's like how, when I end up finally getting around to The Sarah Connor Chronicles (outside of the one ep I saw from early Season 2), I'll be re-watching the first two films just for the flow of it. I'll get back into Twin Peaks if someone else wants to watch with.
I signed up as soon as I read the premise.
I can't wait!!!
