May 20 2010

James Marsters, Emma Caulfield, and Felicia Day at Phoenix Comicon. May 28th through 30th at the Phoenix Convention Center. I didn't see it posted before so I thought I would mention it.

The weather here in Phoenix has been spectacular all spring. It'll be warm, but quite pleasant. Hope everyone has fun.
I so wish I could go to this. Anyone want to sponsor a poor student? =)
Why aren't they boycotting Arizona?
Because Arizona is neat. Everyone wants to go to there, even illegals. If it wasn't so neat, people wouldn't be scrambling, risking life and limb, to get there.
Because it seems questionable to boycott a state over a law that does little more than reiterate federal law?
Because boycotting an entire state causes the people that are so worried about being deported not to have jobs either. It would only make things worse.

On a side note, I will be at Comicon this weekend and I'm so excited!
Why doesn't the Mid-Atlantic (like, North Carolina up through Maryland) have any good geeky conventions? Everything seems to be either on/near the West Coast or up in NYC. The DC area has plenty of sci-fi type geeks, lemme tell ya.
