Patton Oswalt guests on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher at 10pm tonight (Friday). Features Dollhouse and United States of Tara actor Patton Oswalt, NYU professor and author Nouriel Roubini, author Ayaan Hirsi Ali, radio host and professor Michael Eric Dyson, and columnist John Fund.

Watch on TV and have your browser tuned to Real Time's "Overtime" link for another 10 or so minutes of show after 11pm, where they take questions submitted online by the viewers.

Bet they discuss "Draw Muhummad Day". Dunno what else they'll focus on tonight, but I'm sure Oswalt will bring the funny. Wonder if Maher will play a clip of his "Sky Cake" stand-up bit.

Patton Oswalt and Bill Maher together? Two of my favorite comedians! I can't wait.
Aw man. He still got some good lines in, but they brought him in as the halfway point guest (with about only 20 minutes left to go in the 1-hour run time). One thing I'm not big on with Real Time is that tactic. The fourth guest can kinda derail the conversation/debate (if the main three guests are already having a worthwhile/well-argued one) and, more importantly, they barely get any airtime, so sometimes it feels like, why bother. Oswalt didn't do that, in this case, but he could've livened up the show a bit more if he'd been there all the way through.

Heh, he set Bill up for a great (if obvious) last line in the online Overtime segment (they didn't discuss Draw Muhummad Day, even though it was submitted by a few folks in the Real Time forums booo!).
