VTW Productions interview with Georges Jeanty (Buffy Season 8 main artist). It's a pretty long one (52:32), but it does give a lot of insight into his life in fandom. A lot of geeking out, and yes, there are multiple tangents as a meeting of minds between geeks can result it. Requisite Star Trek, Farscape, etc references. PS: Spoilers up to "Retreat", if I remember correctly.

Spoilers for?
Just remembered to add a note about where the spoilers go to.
To be more specific is referenced and talked about quite a bit. I erred on the side of caution, but if you deem it appropriate, the spoiler tag can be removed. :)
I think if it's just a rereference to Xander/Dawn then we're safe.
Wexina, what do you think of Jeanty's answer that the Season 8 takes places in the Buffyverse (and not in the Whedonverse)?

I interpret it as dismissing ATS completely.
I think it's pretty much accepted that AtS is in the Buffyverse. Certainly was during the show's run. Though there were interesting theories to be had at the time about why the events of Angel took place on a separate dimension.*

Btw I changed the URL to the blog entry rather a direct link to the MP3.

*And if anyone can remember the links to the discussions that would be great as I love to read them again.
Thanks for the fix, Simon. I tried linking it to the blog entry, but it kept failing, so I just went with the MP3. But this works out a lot better. :)

@anca: I don't think that Jeanty meant to dismiss AtS at all, but to be honest, I would need to give it another listen... if you could provide me with the approx. time in the interview, I'll get back to you.
Anca: Whedonverse means Angel, Buffy, Firefly, Dollhouse, essentially everything Whedon's ever done.

I don't get, understand, or like the term. There's no 'verse that ties them all together. It's just a way for folks to group his works together as a noun instead of saying "Joss Whedon's body of work." It's a strange, misnomer of a term.

The Buffyverse is the world that Buffy, Angel, Fray, Tales of the Slayers, Tales of the Vampires, and the Spike series exist in.
As I'm on dial-up I can't view this at all, sadly. Dos he say anything new?
Thanks, guys!

The "verse" talk is around 0:24:00 (both guys spoke a little to fast for me and maybe I misunderstood).
@sueworld2003: No, I don't think he says anything new, at least not in terms of spoilers for things to come. The interview was mostly from the art production slant.
Ah I see. Thanks for that. :)
