Gina Torres' "Huge" premieres tonight at 9/8c on Abc Family. Be sure to tune in.

ABC Family sure have a lot of Whedon love. Bianca Lawson in Pretty Little Liars (although, I think it's ridiculous to have a 31 year old playing a 15 year old..), and Gina Torres in Huge. And, if I'm not mistaken, they've had a few writers as well. :)

Hey, it shows they've still got it...err, not really. Then again, Aly handles those flashback scenes in _HIMYM_ okay.
Sadly, I missed the first episode. Anyone care to tell us if it's a good show, worth seeing?
Watched it with my 16-year-old daughter, clearly the bullseye in its demographic target. Pretty well done, with a good performance from lead Nikki Blonsky. Predictably, Gina's a pro, in a role about as far from Zoe as you can get. It's a little message-heavy, like a lot of the ABC Family dramas, but that message is one girls my daughter's age really need to hear in an age of stick-thin stars and body image issues. And it has a deft comic touch, though that was underused in this first episode. All it needed was anorexic Reavers.
