'Writing For Television 2010' - a Writers Guild Foundation seminar. Those confirmed to speak at the all-day event include David Greenwalt, Jane Espenson and Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas. It'll be held in Los Angeles on July 31st and tickets cost between $110-$150.

How I wish I could go to this.
It makes me wish I was a writer, so then I could wish I had the money to go. :(
Oh, heckity, korkster, I'm not a writer, 'zackly, but if I felt like I could spare this money from, you know, bill-paying, I would go in a heartbeat.

It's practically just around the corner from us - in fact, if I go to their rooftop, I can see my house from there. ; >

Sadly, it's the full $150 for those of us who are not full-time students, and are non-union, non-military-vet plebes.

Buggering bags of .........

(See, if I could go to the seminar, I could find the right "b"-word to put in there. ; >)
You make good point, QuoterGal. ;)

Hrm, full-time students w/ ID. Drat. I am a full-time student, but I don't bother with the ID. Of course, then you have the life-long students, which I am also a proud member of.

Still, $110? Eee-gad-zooks.

Of course, the "Showrunner" part and "From the Ground up: Creating a Show" sound fantastic... just so I can get inside their heads on their experiences with my fave shows.

Still can't afford it, but now I'm starting to drool.
