Did you know the Devil built a robot... which made a band? Looks like everyone's favorite throwaway line became an alt-country band in Brooklyn.

I always wondered, was that in any way a Futurama reference? It seems like technically it could translate as the Devil's Robot, or the Robot Devil. I couldn't help but hope there would be a musical number involved as I first watched that episode...

I doubt they got their name from that line. Unless there's some particular interview or something in which they say so.

On their website they wrongly cite the line as being from an episode of Buffy. But there's some Buffy-love in the post anyway so that's nice.
