Cunning hat sighting on an owl? Probably not, but, it was the first thing that I thought of.

That's been floating around the internet for a few weeks. It's so cute! The owl they call...JAYNE!
That owl...is cunning.
It's a cunning Saw Whet owl.
An owl flies through the woods in that hat the forest is gonna know he's not afraid of anything.
It's mom sends it a new hat every year on its birthday.
Cute. If wishes were small rodents, we'd all be regurgitatin' bones and fur.
Not to be too serious but I have my doubts about the suitability of keeping owls as cagebirds.
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I think my heart just grew a few sizes. So cute!
Maybe the owl comes and goes like a pet cat?
Beautiful little guy .... and someone else recognized a Saw-Whet. :_)

I agree. Owls are predators and not suited to captivity. It's not even legal to keep them as pets, in a lot of states, and definitely not if they're listed as either endangered or threatened, as so many are.
I noticed a band on this one's leg, which could mean he's in a rescue/rehab/release facility - there are a lot of them around.
