Nathan Fillion says he's proud to be a geek. USA Today has an interesting feature of our favorite space captain, He talks about how he was an avid comic book collector, and how he's close to his family.

He admits he bases his character of Richard Castle on his brother.

Very cool, positive piece.

"I also remember seeing Star Wars for the first time with my dad. I leaned over to him in the theater as it was beginning and said, 'I want to see this again tomorrow.' And he leaned over and said, 'OK.' "

Classic! I want to be that kind of dad.
He's aces is Nathan.
Didn't realize he got to keep Mal's pistol. He so deserves to have that.
I didn't know he had a brother. I wonder if they look alike.
and I also didn't know he got to keep Mal's pistol. shiny.
There's no mystery why Nathan is cool and nice. I've read about his family many times over the years. I just hope he passes on those marvelous genes of his or adopts - he'd be a great father.
Very nice little interview with some cool nuggets- interesting to kno he bases Castle on his brother. It's great he's getting a lot of attention with this show.
