Angel gets four Satellite nominations. David Boreanaz, Amy Acker, Gina Torres and Andy Hallet have been nominated in various categories for the 2004 8th Annual Satellite Awards, run by the International Press Academy. The Firefly DVD got nominated too.

From what I can remember this event is seen a more credible alternative to the Golden Globes.

How exciting is this?! I just love seeing talented people recognized. All of these are fantastic, but personally, I think that Andy Hallet is LONG overdue for professional praise.
It's beyond me why Alexis and James aren't nominated, but just to get some recognition is way cool!
Amen, Simon, G Thing, on all points.

I saw the AFI's listing of the top ten TV shows did not include either Buffy or Angel...ludicrous in the extreme:

this is beyond exctiing

the satellite awards have always been known for going "outside the box" in a way in who they nominate

they're always much more accepting than those bloody emmy and golden globe voters

this is very exciting :D
BTW - G ... James was nominated last year and lost - Buffy had got 5 nominations in all but none of the nominations won. Angel last year got no nominations, strange.
