'Covering Jo Chen' - a Buffy Season 8 interview. With the Buffy Season 8 motion comics coming out on DVD/Blu-ray next week, Fox have provided us with an interview where Jo chats about her cover art.

The motion comics makes me sad.
The commerical aspect of the Buffy franchise has always been a source of interest - Easter Eggs, chocolate bars, Advent calendars, underwear, t-shirts, character DVDs and on and on. Shame we never got the Buffyverse DVD movies though.
So strange how the main Buffy artists weren't familiar with the series before they were recruited to the book.

Jo Chen's covers are gorgeous...
I hope she's back for the Buffy Season 9 covers or the Angel covers.I don't care which.Just have her involved on the covers again in some way.
I'd love to see her take on Illyria, Gunn, Cordelia and Wesley.
me too. a lot of people stuff up Illyria and make her appear extremley strange so i'd be interested to see how she goes. i'd love to see Jo Chen do a very broad range of Buffy, Angel and the Spike and Willow minseries. Though she is only one woman-an incredibly taleneted, extraordinary woman- even she needs a break.
Any JC cover seems to make me smile in happiness. There's just something about them. I especially love #1, #17, #22, #allofthem!
Just throwing my hat in. The few times I've met Jo, she's been absolutely wonderful. Sweet, funny, warm, all that good stuff. And tiny! I want to put her in my pocket and have her paint a mural in my room! But that would be kidnapping, which I'm told is wrong.
She's adorkable, and her work is amazing. I've never seen anything like it.
From start to finish, her covers have been fantastic. I really hope she'll be involved in season nine.
I think I may be buying the comics just for the covers. (I bought a signed poster of Buffy #1.It is framed in my bedroom.) The cover of Buffy and Angel embracing was absolutely gorgeous. Chen really manages in most cases to capture the actors' faces and I think that is what makes these covers so intriguing.Even if the content of the comics disappoints sometimes, the covers seldom fail to delight.
