NikatNite Great Buffy ReWatch now underway. This may have been posted back when it was announced, but it's a great time to re-watch, or introduce newbies.

2-3 episodes per week, throughout 2011, with a few exceptions (e.g., "Once More, with Feeling"). Cast of dozens of distinguished and enthusiastic guest-bloggers.

Nikki Stafford is a force of wonderfulness. I'm so happy she and her cast of dozens are blogging a Buffy rewatch. I've jumped into the rewatch right along with them. Good times.

Well, not to toot my own horn, but I came up with a Buffy Rewatch of my own, without realizing she was doing one. But ours is running a bit different, in that we're watching an episode a week, and commenting on the Bronze:Beta, which was the message board most of us used back when the show was airing. And you don't have to register to use it.

I don't want to run afoul of the mods here, so I won't say any more. I know there's a Facebook page for ours, but since I don't have an account I can't provide a link, even if that were permitted. But so far we've got 72 fans attending, and I know Erika Amato is considering attending, and Camden Toy posted the info to his own FB account.
Edited cause I was confused. Am I the only one who read "nikatnite" and thought Buffy was going to be on Nick?

This was kind of a letdown. I mean, I was expecting an actual blog post, she just lists stuff that anyone who has eyes could see. Where's the insightful commentary? Psh. It also really annoys me when people call foreshadowing on a scene when there is a 95% probability it is not (re. Buffy in the coffin).
Good times. I may watch along. I've always wanted to watch 1 episode a week like it actually aired, so the rewatch would take 7 years.

The author catches one "error" that's not an error:

Angel telling Buffy that he thought shed be taller is a bit of an oops... well find out in Becoming that hes been following her around for ages, and knows exactly how tall she is.

"I thought you'd be taller" is more of an expression of meeting someone who's larger than life-- and finding out that they are, in fact, just human-sized. Sarah Michelle Gellar is only 5'2"; I know this, have known it for years. But if I ever bumped into her, I'd probably think, "she was way taller on Buffy". It has little to do with a person's actual height, or whether you knew that height beforehand.

I think that Maggie's excellent episode reviews for her re-watch over at Live Journal have spoiled me-I was very underwhelmed by the content of this blog.
The blog posts are meant to be unspoiled and many doing the rewatch are first time viewers. With Nikki's blog, the most fun is in the comments (and there's both a spoiled and unspoiled section.)
