I saw a Summer Glau twitter account but it hasn't been used in over a year, and there's no indication it was real.

It's a fake - the closest thing she has to a formal presence on the web is via occassional messages posted on summer-glau.net (check the link for her reasons why.) :(

It would be awesome, though, if someone could convince her to give something like twitter a chance.

Funny. At Creation a few months ago, when asked by a fan, Morena said she thought telling people your business was strange and she didn't want to join twitter. Those, of course, are not her exact words, but that is basically what she was saying.

Around the world there're thousands of people who were married a few months ago and now they aren't. People change their minds (particularly when more and more of their friends have joined something and are probably going on about how great it is - that's how religions start ;).

Or she could still be sceptical but just testing the waters.
