Buffy actress casts a spell on witchcraft. "Witch hunters descended on Aberdeen yesterday to catch a glimpse of Amber Benson, better known as powerful white witch Tara from cult TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

The actress said she had never had any nasty encounters or letters because of her involvement in the show, which deals with many occult issues, but she had received pamphlets extolling religious virtues, and letters from people who promised to pray for her.

*sighs* Amber's one of the positive role models around and she's gets people praying for her cause she played a wiccan and a lesbian.

Heh, I guess in her position you wouldn't wanna fan the flames or maybe even be seen as putting down another's religion...but if I was her I would've sent educational pamphlets about the wiccan faith and homosexuality to the return addresses.
