The Serenity crew in stitches... quite literally. The item on sale is the pattern for this adorkable masterpiece. Which means that you'll either need to cross-stitch it yourself, or ask someone really nicely to do it for you. Or perhaps you could ask the seller to make you one... for a higher price, of course.

Excellent! I've been wondering what gift to give to a friend for a B-day, this is perfect. Dinner placemats!
It's cute. But I wonder why Inara is pigeon-toed. Everyone else has their toes pointing outwards.

I also wonder why Firefly gets crafted so much. Has anyone ever seen Buffy cross-stitch? Or those weird little crocheted dolls that only have eyes? Those things give me the wiggins.
I expect it's in reference to the fact that she wears shoes, unlike the rest of 'em with their biga$$ combat boots...

I also wonder why Firefly gets crafted so much.

It fits with the 'Verse ethic - it's a very crafty place.
Has anyone ever seen Buffy cross-stitch?

Now, there's a question that hasn't crossed the room before. Ah, as far as I know, Buffy only made sliced & diced julicnne preacher man. However, I'm sure she has other talents as well.
This is so cute! I am thrown for a loop by the creative design of these little figures, and it's so easy to tell who everyone is supposed to be. Wish I was that inventive, but thank you for giving me opportunity to see this.

Been awhile since I cross-stitched something. I need some of that fabric you can use to cross stitch on a shirt, cause that's where it's going. :)
"adorkable" is an awesome word
There are programs which will take photos and convert it to a DMC based cross stitch. Some are free to use then pay to download the pattern, or entirely free. One presumes you couldn't use stills from the movie/show to design one for yourself, but original artwork would be safe.
Very cute! Another awesome one (which I'm challenging myself to do for our CSTS event this year) is from Cthulu Crochet. Free patterns are here and here.
To answer ShadowQuest's question, I've got an infrequently updated Whedoncraft blog that features some Buffy embroidery, but it's not cross-stitch.
Kiba Thank you! At least you understood what I was asking.

Some pretty impressive stuff there. Whedon fans are crafty folks.

Despite my repainting Breyers, making dreamcatchers, and attempting to papier mache Buffy's Scythe, I'm really not that crafty. Mom, on the other hand, weaves beautiful rag rugs, and can even include pictures in her work: http://www.northwoodsweaving.com/inlay.html
Great little pixel peaople, wonderful design. Before I discovered the interwebs I used to make cross stitch. But I must confess I quite like the idea of these Firefly people. Perhaps have a go at patterns for all the regulars from the other whedonverse shows?
This is great, as is the knitting pattern for Firefly that was linked on here a while back. Yep, what a crafty bunch!
ShadowQuest: It's cute. But I wonder why Inara is pigeon-toed. Everyone else has their toes pointing outwards.

Yeah, cute as this is, and it is waaay adorable, Inara's feet struck me as odd, too - couldn't figure out why you wouldn't just do them like this - unless they're trying to make some point which escapes me.

I love those Big Eyed/No Other Features Firefly crocheted dolls but they do give me the wiggins, too. They remind me of some of the creatures in the "Salad Fingers" animations - which, BTW, I love with a passion that passeth understanding.

There's a bunch of Buffy crossstitch stuff on flickr (some of which I think we've linked to here on WHEDONesque in the past). This crossstitch from "Hush" is one of my all-time favorites.

(There's a ton of whedon-y crafts out there, especially
Serenifly stuff - I love all of it: the Good, the Bad and the Beautiful. ; > )

ETF: typo. It's like there has to be at least one, or it's not me.
