Where do canceled TV shows go? Firefly is "one canceled show whose unfinished season led to a happy ending."

"Whedon resisted the idea of burning off those installments as summer filler."

From everything else I've heard, the decision to not air the three remaining episodes was decided by Fox, not Joss. No doubt a testament to CNN's fantastic reporting ability.
They should release Profit on DVD. You could almost feel Greenwalt smiling with the introduction of Wolfram & Hart in Angel so he could tackle similar issues, especially with Lindsay.
NOT a happy ending...I want more...and the myriad questions needing answers are, as Joss would be happy to know, invading my dreams.
I also have a problem with the "one canceled show whose unfinished season led to a happy ending." statement. Anyone who is a true fan of the show is still miserable about the way it ended. Yes, we are happy for the opportunity to own the DVD set but it is a bittersweet feeling. A happy ending for me would be if Fox admitted how stupid and wrong they were to cancel this magnificent show and to make up for it they offered Whedon and crew a 10 year contract!!
