March 29 2011

Missing our friend - Andy. It's been two years, and since 2009, every March 29th is a bit somber knowing that we lost a beautiful person in Andy. God Bless you and your family, Andy.

A unique talent and truly nice man by all accounts. Tragic loss.
By coincidence I just watched Life of the Party and its plot about Lorne needing to get his sleep suddenly feels a lot more sad :(

Its hard to think that that green whirlwind of life is gone.
I'm watching "Angel" for the first time (Just finished Season Three; need to find the last two on affordable DVD) and Lorne is fast becoming my favorite character.

It's so sad Andy was taken from this world too early. I hope his family knows how much his fans miss him - not just as the character of Lorne, but also as a talented actor and singer, a fantastic storyteller, and a true down-to-earth person who made people feel like they've been his best friend for years.

"We were born before the wind.
Also younger than the sun.
Ere the bonnie boat was won
as we sailed into the mystic.
Hark, now hear the sailors cry.
Smell the sea and feel the sky.
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic." - Van Morrison, "Into the Mystic," Moondance
Met him once at Wolfram and Hart Review in L-A. Great guy. He was also at con in Sacramento, talking about the weather. At least Lorne will live on in the comic pages
Gone but not forgotten, a really nice and supremely talented guy.
I have been trying to reach any Whedonverse alum on Twitter for about 6 days to get #AndyHallett trending today. Please use this hashtag today if you are on twitter!!
@SlayerOfTheVampire's - there's a few Whedonverse alum tweeting and retweeting the #andyhallett tag right now.
I also met him once with James Leary. They were both sweet. Andy you are missed and not forgotten.
I say "HI!" to Andy every day - his photo is on my office wall. He's at a Con and he has a huge, beautiful smile on his face. And of course, every day, I wish I could have met him in person.
He was a truly lovely man.
"and I miss you, like the deserts miss the rain"...
It really is terribly tragic. Hope everyone wore green and enjoyed a seabreeze in his name! He won't be forgotten.
"It's not that easy being green..."
Apparently he didn't even like green that much. He is missed.
wow, hard to believe it's been two years already... very sad. Hopefully he and Doyle are up there kicking back a few cold ones together.
archon; Doyle died. Glen Quinn died. Andy died. Lorne didn't.
