EW mention of Ringer's Fall chances. "... CBS loves Sarah Michelle Gellar but only likes her pilot.." Ruh Roh.

Read the last sentence to find out how much credence you should pay to this. "More updates/rumors as they come in."

I'm not saying Ringer will make the schedule but this is all speculation based on network PR people and actor/writer agents pushing personal agendas. Or you know, doing their jobs. :)
Or maybe that CBS is wary of serialized shows if they're not doing well, such as The Event and V, which were really plaugued by story problems (The Event especially). If Ringer goes the Joss rote, namely an arc that begins and ends in the same season, that could work. In a way, Fringe is going that route, and that's why it's sticking around.
If CBS says no to Ringer, they better offer SMG something else, and fast.
I think it would be great fun to see SMG guest on a bunch of different shows before settling in on her own. She would be a hoot as a demon on SPN, an old colleague on Nikita, a rival scientist on BBT or playing herself on Community and causing Troy and Abed to go crazy. :)
Not sure if more structured arcs are a need to shows stay in the air, impalergeneral . I believe most of the big audiences series (in USA, here and great part of the world) are of realities and the scripted shows who are better don't have strong arcs, even you and me liking more the long running stories type of.
or playing herself on Community and causing Troy and Abed to go crazy. :)

Yes, please!
This year people (in general, not specifically on Whedonesque) seem to be more interested in potential pilots than ever before. I prefer to wait for the upfronts, find out what exactly is going to air, and THEN get excited. Ringer sounds good but I don't wanna get excited only for it not to get picked up.
I second that! Sarah on Community is a daydream!!!

I personally think Sarah doing a guest shot on Supernatural would be the height of mind-blowing, I gotta say though...a demon? You're coming at it all crab-like, people! Amber Benson and Mercedes McNab have already covered that ground with their guest shots...but what about taking things in another direction?

Think about it...there was serious talk during the previous season about whether the viewers would get to see/meet God since Lucifer got personified in Mark Pellegrino. Some speculation had the idea of Jeffrey Dean Morgan coming back in a guest shot to be God in the form of John Winchester...but I think SMG as the Creator would be some utterly mindfrakking awesomeness :D
Not to get too spoilery, but didn't we already sort of meet "God" in season 5 of Supernatural, at the end? :)

For years now, (and it's not too far fetched, seeing as how the creators are self-proclaimed Buffy fans), I've been wanting to see Sarah on How I Met Your Mother. I'm sure it's a big shock to absolutely no one that in my head, I've cast her as The Mother.

Ooo, what if her character and Lily initially hated each other but then started hitting it off through their mutual friendship with Ted, but THEN started hanging out too much and having this awkward sort of reverse-Bromance, making Marshal uncomfortable and resulting in an Intervention? :)
Ah, I'm just wishing Sarah the best! You must admit, it spins your little heart cells crazy to see her on the silver screen again, yes?
