Ringer picked up says Deadline. According to one report, the CW has ordered SMG's new series! Rejoice!

While the deal wasn't done beforehand, the ink has been signed.

YUSS! and now to sleep...Thanks for the news!
Woo and Hoo! It'll be so great to see Sarah back on tv!
Cool. Now let's hope the material's of the standard SMG deserves.
"Officially?" I don't think that word means what you think it means. While she is most likely correct, Nellie saying that she hears it's a done deal is NOT an official announcement from CW. It's hearsay from a somewhat reliable source.
Nellie Andreeva is the most reliable person on the internet for television reporting. The deal has been signed. This is the same as when we've heard that Brothers & Sisters has been canceled or that Once Upon a Time has been picked up by ABC - sure, it's not "official" until tomorrow's ABC upfront, but it's done.
I don't like any news that starts with, "I hear". I hope it's true but still ... I was burned here before with this news.
No. It won't be official until CW announces their schedule probably Wednesday or Thursday at their upfront. What does ABC have to do with it?

I'm not disagreeing that it's a done deal and YAY for SMG but, it is not official like it says in your headline above.
If true, I can only say "YAY!"
Great news if this is accurate.
It's official when the ink is signed on the deal. The deal is done. It's done. I was using ABC as a point of reference.
The point is that we don't know the deal's signed while we only have the word of an intermediary based on what they "heard" from an unnamed source (however reliable they may have been in the past). When The CW make their official announcement it'll be official.

Not a big thing though, semantics really (unless the reporter "heard" wrong of course ;).
okay, not sure what to believe here. First it was picked up, then it wasn't, now it's picked up again. Which is it? lol.
I've edited the entry to show that the news was coming from Deadline and not for example from a CW press release.

No doubt we'll be seeing Ringer clips in the next couple of days.
So happy for SMG. :)

Also, when is "hater" going to go away? I HATE that word.
This Ringer situation has been an emotional rollercoaster.
I know, just as my Help Sarah Buy Ringer campaign was about to go mainstream. I think that was the tipping point for The CW.
Why hasn't Save Ringer been set up?

(Note: joke).

For balance, Deadline reported Wonder Woman was going to be picked up, shortly before NBC announced they were ditching it. They get stuff wrong.

Hee. Me too, actually.

I will be delighted to have SMG back on my screen. I hope it's a good show. It's so hard to make a consistently good show. I mean, they are really really rare, and if anyone deserves to be in something good, it's her. Crossing fingers and toes. Which makes typing quite awkward.

Care to share a link for that Gossi, as I can't find any evidence of such a post on their site. Not to say mistakes never happen, just not sure that that one did.

That says it all really. (And rather eloquently too). Looking forward to having her back on the screen and hoping the show will be as good as she deserves as well!
Great news if it's true! I'm still wondering though what they're going to do about the ABC Studios pulling out thing. Any idea who might take up the slack?
At a guess, they will just cut down on some of the unnecessary parts of the show and do it on the CBS CW budget.
Cutting down on unnecessary parts of the show?! They already have Sarah playing 2 characters, that's one less actress! Next it'll be the Sarah MIchelle Gellar one woman(who may on ocassion play a man) show! And I'd still watch that, gotta be better than a lot of other shows out that...

Disclaimer: most of this post was a joke, except that part where I'd still watch it, even if it wasn't a joke.
Great, great news! Expelling a sigh of relief.
Great news to end my day!
If I may, I don't think this is the show for Sarah. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

She should hold set right where she is.
Sarah is the only actress who can do the role (or has the skill) since Bette Davis isn't available.
Zap2it says that it has been offically picked up by the CW.
I am so glad Ringer is going to be on the CW and not CBS. This show is a better fit for the CW, which appeals to younger viewers. CBS is notorious for being the "senior citizens" network.
Yay! Great news. Boy this had a lot of ups and downs but at least it worked out.
Well I'm going to have to look into what the CW puts online, because we don't get the CW in Hawaii. Not even my satellite service contracts with CW. :(
