Read "Capitalism Bites!" - a Buffy the Anarcho-Syndicalist tale.
Remember back in 2007 when news broke about this counter-culture comic book? Well Nihil Press, the underground zine publisher, eventually made the story available in PDF format.

Is this really what those on the political left think about those of us on the right? It seems to me that this comic is fighting a battle what was won decades ago.

I'm not sure about other countries, but parody is protected under US copyright law. Media companies would probably like us to forget about that, but it is there in the law. This sounds like parody, yes?

In my experience all anarchists love Buffy.
Look.

Isn't the very earnest seriousness what makes it parodic ? They're parodying the simple language of some comics (like 'Misty', 'Victor' etc.), simpleminded propaganda and themselves (or at least how they perceive themselves to be perceived) surely ?
Or they're just very earnest and over-serious, neither of which is exactly unheard of for people holding extreme political positions who think their way is the One True Way.
Either way it made me smile, i'm just either laughing with them or at them, depending.
However, their ostensibly carefully framed arguments have far, far bigger problems. E.g. do you "listen intensly" [sic] or do you actually "listen intently" ? Also 'Excellent' has two 'l's and how the hell can Mrs Orwell and the kids be trapped inside when they're plainly standing outside on the porch roof when Buffy et al arrive ? For these reasons as well as that "tonights entertainment" should have a possessive apostrophe it should be clear to anyone that anarcho-syndicalism makes no sense and is morally and intellectually bankrupt. QED. FDR. CIA.

Not a recent issue, since he died in 2002.

He was an artist on Not Brand Ecch!, a favourite of my youth.

Honest to God, this reads like parody. But then, this fits in perfectly with Poe's Law (even though we're not talking religion): http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/6408927/Internet-rules-and-laws-the-top-10-from-Godwin-to-Poe.html

Some random thoughts:
1. It's a cautionary tale about the dangers of the unexamined life?
2. I think it should have been called: "Take This Job and Burn It" or "Beware of False Typists"
3. Is marrying Christian Slater part of the benefit package?
4. Comics are a visual medium. What's with all the redundant narrative exposition? Sheesh. At least let Beret! Giles say it. ;-) He's a cutie.
