Thursday's Whedonverse panels at Comic-Con. Quite a few goodies to be had. Highlights include a Spotlight on Jo Chen, the Ringer panel and a Buffy The Vampire Slayer and LGBT Comics Fandom panel.

10:45-11:45 Oh, You Sexy Geek! - Clare Kramer

11:00-12:00 The Evolution of Web Series: The Guild to Dragon Age - Felicia Day

12:00-1:00 Spotlight on Jo Chen

12:00-1:00 Dark Horse: Fall Publishing Highlights - Three supersecret surprise megastars

1:15-2:15 Books vs. Graphic Novels and Comics - Amber Benson

1:45-2:45 Ringer - Sarah Michelle Gellar

5:00-6:00 Buffy The Vampire Slayer and LGBT Comics Fandom - Scott Allie, Andrew Chambliss, Jane Espenson, Drew Greenberg, Tom Lenk, and a special guest!

5:30-7:30 Showtime: Tired of Ordinary Television? - Morena Baccarin

8:30-10:00 Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog - Sing along with your fellow fans

I'll be keeping this list updated as the schedules get posted. It'll include booth signings and the like, which don't get listed on the SDCC site.

It all looks awesome. That Buffy LGBT comics fandom panel in particular looks like a right treat.
It really does. Looking forward to the write ups.
A few panels at or near the same time. Well, shall I cut off this arm or that one, hmm, I don't know. :) This is always so hard.
Scoop, scoop, scoop! I want scoops and spoilers from these panels!
I can't wait!
I'll be sure to send some news if I hear anything interesting!

Any word on the badge pick-ups? Last year, they let us pick them up the night before even if we didn't have preview night.
There is a link at the site re badge pickup. I tried MS Exploder and Firefox and got an error message. I tweeted Comic-Con to please fix b/c I have the same question.
It's not actually broken; they haven't added that information to the page yet, but the tab is clickable (which is sort of dumb on their part).

ETA that if someone is finding an active link to the pickup page, it will error out with a "no password provided" message, because they haven't put it up yet.

According to the ticket printouts they've sent, badge pickup will be allowed on Wednesday. But if you don't have preview night, you will have to pick them up offsite at the Town & Country (or wherever it was last year).
Hmmmm... could that special guest in "Buffy The Vampire Slayer and LGBT Comics Fandom" be Joss? Or is he going to be too busy with Avengers to attend SDCC this year? I hope he will be there or on some panel as this is going to be my first and likely only year I go to SDCC.
The overlapping stuff is killing me! I don't know what to do!!!
Also, if Dark Horse's supersecret magastars or Buffy LGBT special guest turns out to be Joss I will punch myself for not going to those panels!

I can't see Marvel keeping Joss from SDCC, but I'd sort of be surprised if he'd be there as early as Thursday considering he's got nothing of his own going on that day there. This is all wild speculation on my part, of course.
What to sacrifice, what to sacrifice. Best to select everything then spend a week whittling down the schedule. Thanks for the link, b!X. You always do a good job, and it makes my life much easier.
For those who picked up passes at the other location last year, was it worth it? Might just try it this year.
Don't worry about this overlap...I'm pretty sure the "12:00-1:00 Dark Horse: Fall Publishing Highlights - Three supersecret surprise megastars" has anything to do with Whedonverse.

Still have to choose Clare vs. Felicia, though. And Smidge vs. Amber.
Wait, are you saying they will be Whedonverse or won't be?
Yeah but Dark Horse is just one thing... there's a lot of other cool stuff overlapping.

So far my biggest issue is that if I chose Felicia's The Guild to Dragon Age, I'll probably won't get into Ballroom 20 for Ringer... or if I do, it'll be a crappy seat.

Felicia or SMG? Felicia or SMG?! My brain might explode.
Yeah, I'm skipping both my noon options in order to go from Oh, You Sexy Geek! to Ballroom 20 for Ringer. Look at it this way: Felicia will still have The Guild panel, and she's also on the Eureka panel.

Yeah... I'm thinking about that. Might change my plans until then.
Words cannot express how jealous I am right now. I want to live in the States!
I updated my post on the .org with Friday's info.
