Sarah Michelle Gellar rumored to be returning to All My Children. TV Guide reports that there are some whispers going around that Sarah Michelle Gellar has agreed to return to AMC for a farewell appearance before the show leaves ABC.

I doubt she will. It would be like going backwards. If she does go back for a few episodes, it will be to promote Ringer.
She was the one who expressed interest in making a cameo appearance in the first place, so I think it will happen.

It would be fun if she bumps into Alicia Minshew's Kendall, stares at her like she's trying to place the face, and then walks off.
Next time on AMC, a visit from The Kendall of Seasons Past?

I don't think it's a step back to cameo in the last hurrah of the show that got you national attention for your drama chops.
And don't forget, SMG earned an Emmy for AMC, not Buffy.
If Nathan Fillion can go back for a guest appearance on OLTL, it is possible for Sarah to return to her old soap for a cameo. Although I never saw an episode of AMC, nor did I like daytime television, I like the idea of a cameo. Something like this is respectful and honours her past.
And don't forget, SMG earned an Emmy for AMC, not Buffy.

She should've gotten one for both.
Would tune in if that happened! Haven't seen that show in years but would love to see her be Kendall one more time or even just a walk on guest role. I know she used to go back and visit a lot and was friendly with a lot of the cast.
If that happens, it would be so great! I watched Sarah on AMC and she was the whole reason I started watching BtVS. I'd love to see her on AMC for a last hurrah.

@Brierly - I love the idea of SMG bumping into Alicia's Kendall. That would be cute.
Nathan was FANTASTIC on OLTL with his brief return. I am all for SMG going back, even if it's only for one day. Bring it on, baby!
James Franco also did General Hospital not too long ago; I think it is a nice trend, people honoring their roots and all.
I think Franco wasn't on in the first place but he had to play a soap actor in a film or something so he decided to do a soap in real life. Part of that 'James Franco just laughs at life and does whatever' charm.
Ahh, I just assumed Franco has already been on GH...
Maybe she's will do her former character evil twin

addapting a local saying, if the "if" had played, Brazil should have won 1982 and 1986 World Cups :(

Edit: I don't know how I messed so much the html tags.

It would be neat if SMG were nuKendall's long lost evil (fraternal) twin. It's not that much of a stretch---AMC recently brought back the fetus Erica Kane aborted in the 70s as a grown man.
Sigh, the first place I noticed her.

Brierly, maje; Not a bad idea.

Reminds me of a scene from a fic I will never, ever write, about spooky happenings on a mvoie set. SMG and Buffy stare each other in the face and simultaneosuly say "I've never seen eyes that color."
