(SPOILER) Avengers film will use NASA facility in Sandusky, Ohio. A short Article that should picque the interest of all us Science Geeks out there.

The ultimate combination of two of the awesomest things in the world : a huge team of badass superheroes lead by Joss Whedon and the freakin' NASA.
THAT,whedon-people, just made my day.
I just read an article yesterday from NASA about the number of times the space shuttle was used in movies. It's a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing what is done here.
That's a short drive from my house, hopefully they release more info before shooting starts, maybe I could go visit!
Ah, my friend's dad worked there and just retired last year. Missed it by thismuch!
My uncle spent his entire adult career working there and is retired or partially retired now... (love telling folks he really is a rocket scientist!)

Joss Whedon and NASA in the same article? Too much awesomeness for words!
What do you suppose they want the vacuum chamber for? If it's to show somebody or something undergoing explosive decompression, surely it would be easier to do that with CGI than a practical effect.
Omg omg omg omg omg!!! My great-grandfather was the lead architect on that project when it was built!!! So exciting!!!
