(SPOILER) Set photos from the Avengers. Bunch of cars suffering some abuse. Might be spoilery if you don't wanna know which city Cleveland is doubling for.

It's weird that this is a Facebook redirect link rather than just the actual link.
I was reading through the recent issue os SFX and in the magazine, it says that Zak Penn scribed The Avengers. How can this be if Joss is credited as the writer?
Zak was the original script writer for the movie. Joss brought his own version to the movie when he was hired.
It's doubling for Mumbai?!!
Oh, okay. Thanks for the explanation, Simon.
Here are some more : http://collider.com/avengers-set-video-photos/109390/.

I still don't understand the rules behind who gets writing credit and who doesn't. Some movies, especially big budget ones, go through about ten writers before the finished product (which may not resemble the original at all). Case in point, Alien Ressurection.

It seems like the original author tends to get credit, probably because of a contract something or other. But here, the original doesn't. Not that I have any problem with that here-- if there's anyone famous for bringing their own vision to a project, it's Joss.
So are we saying that Joss simply tweeked Zak's original script a bit and that's what we'll see when the film is released, or did Joss write his very own script and that's the one he's directing - the one we'll be seeing on the big screen?
By all accounts, Joss wrote the script by himself following Kevin Feige's specifications. All accounts, that is, other than Zak Penn, who in promoting his new show "Alphas" has repeatedly cited "The Avengers" as one of his... and possibly the WGA is saying this as well.
