Top 10 sexiest sci-fi females: in pictures. See what number everyone's favourite Vampire Slayer takes in the SyFy UK poll.

Picture selection seemed a bit odd. Billie Piper looked more then a bit crazy, they used a movie still from Aliens for Weaver, but Fisher got a new red carpet photo? as a guy I know what picture i would've have chosen for Lea...
And I would have known which one I'd have used for Weaver... but I rue that Summer Glau, hellatractive as she is, was not up there. And I am astonished at myself for offering these comments!
Wow, that's an "interesting" list. Mine would have been significantly different.

And yes, the picture choices were as odd as the list.
Been watching Lost Girl since it's debut last year and I'm very happy to see it getting some attention. Getting past the whole succubus thing, it is actually one of the best scripted shows on right now, and is one of a very few shows to have actually managed to capture the essence of Buffy Speak on a regular basis. It also has an awesome duo of female leads in the form of Anna Silk and Kristen Holden-Ried, and has so far exhibited some excellent world-building/Myth Arc-ing. If you haven't seen it before, I'd definitely recommend you check it out - especially if you happen to be a Buffy fan. It's got a surprising amount of good to be had.

And yeah - that is an... interesting list. Here is a unisex, much more accurate to the byline list to make up for it.

I love to see Buffy hitting the lists. SMG is a beauty in any year!
TVtropes!? Curse you brindelwalt! Curse you! I shall now get nothing done for the rest of the night.

Also, this was a very strange list.
SyFy UK poll.

The full list of choices can be found here

Mark Sheppard linked to a much better (and very Whedony dominated) poll on twitter earlier today promoting the same syfy show. This one is just a bit strange.

What, no love for Claudia Christian?

Pffft...

Yay for SMG though!
Why hasn't anyone linked to Syfy UK to have the offcial results? (Brinderwalt gave the correct results btw)
http://www.syfy.co.uk/news/2011/09/sci-fis-sexiest-babes-hunks-revealed

Sci-Fi Babes
1. Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) 81.9%
2. Amanda Tapping (Sanctuary) 1.1%
3. Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) 0.9%
4. Jewel Staite (Stargate Atlantis, Serenity, Firefly) 0.8%
5. Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) 0.7%
6. Gina Torres (Firefly) 0.6%
7. Anna Torv (Fringe) 0.5%
8. Morena Baccarin (V, Stargate SG1, Firefly) 0.4%
8. Felicia Day (Eureka, The Guild) 0.4%
10. Natalie Portman (Star Wars: Episode 1, 2 & 3) 0.3%

The results are different from those given by digitalspy and i'll tell you why.
Syfy UK twitted about this poll a few days and gave this list where men and women are alltogether (multiple choices) :
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/66CCB7W

But then tweeps suggested Syfy UK they could add a name or two (including Summer Glau) and Syfy UK removed the first list and replaced it later with two lists (one for men and one for women)
women list : http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NXZSP5Z

digital spy has the results of the first list that was still online but had no legitimity and they build and article from that wrong list.
All story and Syfy UK tweets to prove it can be found here :

Jessica Alba and Hayden Panettiere? Seriously? Oh, wait. Are we just going by looks and ignoring acting chops? That's fine then. I guess.
Lots o' blondes.
