Win a walk-on part on Angel courtesy of TV Guide's Angel Sweepstakes promotion (open to continental US legal residents aged 18 and over). The link to the Joss Whedon and David Boreanaz interview on this page contains spoilers.

What's wrong with Hawaii? Why can't people from that state enter?

To exspensive to fly them to LA :) but it gets better did you read some of the rules, ie .....

Sponsor accepts no responsibility for changes in Show production schedule or cancellation of Show production and cannot guarantee that if the winner participates in the "walk-on role" portion of the prize that the winner's "walk-on role" will appear in the final edited version of the Show.
......
The number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period determines the odds of winning a prize. TV Guide reserves the right to change or replace the prize at any time with a prize of equal or greater value.

That sounds pretty standard. They'd be pretty foolish to promise your walk-on couldn't be cut. What if you were awful, annoying, distracting? What if they simply needed to cut for time (they always do)? They're not promising an acting role, just a chance to be an extra (with the added bonus of airfare and hotel, which most extras, I'm pretty sure, don't get).

Although, one wonders what a prize of equal or greater value would be, since, aside from hotel cost and airfare, the value of being an extra on "Angel" is sort of a subjective thing, isn't it?
Canadians are always excluded from the coolest contests. Can you guys just, y'know, take us over already, but politely? Let us keep stuff like our superior health care system and our lower ratio of shooting deaths to guns owned (yeah, I just saw Bowling For Columbine, so this is apparently a fact, not a commentary of mine on gun laws/attitudes)

How long a process does the application for citizenship generally take?
