Summer in Seattle. Summer Glau will be a guest star on Grey's Anatomy. Will she be a patient, doctor, family member, or a new crush? Which would you like to see her portray?

It be a bit funny if she end up playing a Doctor.
How many Whedonverse actors have guested on Shonda's shows now?
Oh, my kingdom for a throwaway "my brother is a doctor, too, you know" line.

(Grey's Anatomy is still running? I had no idea.)
Niels, me neither. Or at least, this is the first I've heard anything about it in, oh, 4 years.
I have never seen the show but would watch for Summer
I have never seen the show, and will not watch for Summer. Much as I love her. I await her next project, which I will hopefully be interested in, with much anticipation.
Greys is still going along doing what it does very nicely. I never miss an episode. Not everything needs to be for the mensa crowd. Can't wait to see Summer on it and I sincerely hope that her appearance encourages/prods a pilot casting director/producer to cast her for something new and terrific!
I'd like to see her play Arizona's ex.

Jessica Capshaw needs a storyline outside of Callie, Mark and Alex for once.

I know. Wishful thinking.

Do you like watching procedurals or shows about everyday heroes, guideby? I ask since the next project for TV that Summer has is Scent of the Missing, which is about rescue dogs and their handles, with both Summer and Tricia Helfer as two of the handlers. That and Knights of Baddassdom coming up for release in theatres.

Still, I will grit my teeth and watch Grey's Anatomy live to air or at least record it and watch it later, just for Summer. Only fair and all...
Thanks, BlueEyedBrigadier. I keep forgetting about the Scent pilot. I wonder why that is. I hope Summer is able to get cast in another project as well since that one doesn't seem likely (to me) to be picked up.

Has anyone seen an actual release date for Knights? Can't see where it is scheduled for this year. Does it even have a distributor?

I'd like to see her play against type. We all know that she can play the brilliant but socially awkward/crazy person, so it'd be fun to see her able to stretch her wings a bit.

Simon, I don't know how many Whedonverse actors have been on Grey's but, in spite of Shondra being a Buffy fan, I don't think it's been a whole lot. If I have another bout of insomnia tonight, I may look up the answer on IMDB.

IrrationaliTV, glad to meet another Grey's fan. But then I do love a good nighttime soap. Hello, Ringer and Revenge.
Off the top of my head, between Greys and Private Practice, Whedonverse guest stars have been: Amber, Adam, Seth, Amy, J August, Alexis, DB Woodside, Emma and Nick.

I apologize if what I said seemed to imply my judging the show or its fans. I only phrased it that way because rivergirl did and was trying to express my disappointment that I wasn't interested in her current work. But your last sentence seems unnecessarily antagonistic. Just sayin'.

People can watch whatever they want. I don't judge. Well, not out loud. ;)
And thank you, BlueEyedBrigadier. I am interested in both those projects, assuming we ever see them.
Funny. I thought I was replying to Niels and CaptainB. :)
My apologies. No harm, no foul. :)
