(SPOILER) Joss talks to The Sydney Morning Herald about The Avengers. "I felt like I really want to show the idea of being a hero as something more than powers."

Also includes brief mentions of Firefly, Serenity, Cabin In The Woods, In Your Eyes, and Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope.

I enjoyed this interview a lot, I didn't find it particularly spoilerish, although maybe getting to see the Hulk is? I was thrilled to see this version of the Hulk: he looks 'realer' and I'll be excited to see how he works on screen. Personally I enjoyed Ang Lee's origin story, he embraced the comic look of the monster and tried to balance it with the live action hero, but I just didn't think he was entirely successful. I didn't really like Edward Norton's portrayal as much since I felt that he was playing Batman (too caught up with his personal tragedy) with a CGI monster that took me out of the story.

I really think that Joss has a lot of challenges with this movie and I'm very excited to see him being hugely successful.
Going into the project, he says, he thought to himself, ''This movie has to be great, or I'll be sad all the time''.

This is full of good quotes about The Avengers. I especially like that he doesn't seem to be caught up in the "the film that ruined Whedon's career" vs. "the best work in the history of film and perhaps art itself" expectations.

I didn't realize Much Ado was expected to come out later this year.
I'm not sure it actually is, yet, despite the article saying that.
