The Avengers: Joss Whedon's Avengers Assemble! Television Without Pity offers their list of Joss Whedon's true Avengers.

Interesting comparisons. It's rare I agree this much with a list.
Haha I liked that. I had Angel pegged for the Hulk too:-)
I'd watch the hell out of that series is all I have to say on the subject. Or read or download it into mind. However it is presented, I want to go to there.
I agree with pretty much all of it, except for Wesley. They undercut him too much there.
That actually fit better than I expected. Although I thought they'd pick Oz for the Hulk and maybe Angel for Hawkeye, who's more of a lone wolf than a scrapper. Didn't he start off as a bad guy?
That's a pretty cool list. But I thought Bruce Banner reminded me more of Willow post-Season 6, oddly enough.
That was pretty well done. I have to say I like it. I really appreciated Black Widow/River Tam.

And squeal, I got my tix for Friday night!! I am bringing 5 people! That's my contribution.
I think these were kind of shallow comparisons. I think Cordelia and Thor match up better. Cordelia is social "god", who is brought down to the "real world" and learns about humanity. I think Echo could have been a good one with the Hulk--both give up their humanity in an attempt to save themselves and end up doing monstrous things.

Topher and and Wesley, I'd definitely have to disagree with as well.
