Entertainment Geekly reviews "You're Welcome" "After 99 episodes of snarky comments, brooding anti-heroes, hell dimensions, and dust bunnies aplenty, ANGEL celebrates its 100th episode..."

Hey! It's my first post ever! I rule!
Really, really fantastic review by EG. And a really, really fantastic episode. I, too, realized just how much I miss Cordy on the show. And not just for the, uh, wardrobe choices. Distracting much?

It's been a while since the last scene of a Whedon show body slammed me like that. This one was a doozy. And, unlike last week's "surprise" ending (12 slayers! Hiding in the dark! How conveeenient.), this one felt right and genuine - both while it was happening, and during the three tivo replays.

I loved last season ... except for the whole evil Cordy routine. Seeing her back, patching up, making right, was a kind of vindication for the character. (And for us, the audience, for trusting her in the first place.)

And all the references to past stuff! This one was truly for the fans. And, as the stark raving fanboy I seem to be, I say: Thanks.
My wife had a business commitement until 9:30, so I watched alone...she asked me how it was, and I tried to say something trite in a not-giving-anything-away fashion, and I just kind of gurgled...thought I'd put the crying eyes to bed, but it was not so...she went downstairs to watch...I couldn't do it, not again, right away...what a punch to the gut...just astounding.
Chris in Virginia, how'd your wife take the ep?

I can't watch it again right away either.
I too loved “You’re Welcome”. I especially enjoyed its nods to Season 1 episodes. So what if Season 1 is my least favorite of Angel’s seasons, it was a real nice gesture anyway. My only complaints about Season 1 are it was uneven and it lacked the imagination we would see in later episodes. I still rate “Soul Purpose” and “Destiny” a little higher for this season’s episodes, but “You’re Welcome” ranks up there as well.

“You’re Welcome” is about where our heroes started and where they have gone. I love the idea of making Angel discover on his own why he became involved in this ultra-weird thing with Wolfram and Hart. He really wanted to make a difference. This was a card life dealt him, and it is his destiny to make the most of it.

Oh yeah, Harmony duking it out with Eve! That was cool too!
Um...where's Knox?

(just asking)
