First Look: Tales of the Vampires #3. Comics Continuum has a four page preview of Jane Espenson's story for the comic book. Plus Drew Goddard takes on the Dracula mythos (out in comic stores this Wednesday).

If anyone has read the first two in the series, I'd love to know if any one thinks there's going to a twist in the tale of the captive vampire relating stories to the young Watchers.

There is a twist coming, but I'm never the one to guess these things successfully, and the fact that it seems sorta obvious just makes me think I don't get it.

I mostly commented because, while the series is good (and it's great to have mostly ME writing it, as opposed to Golden or someone :P), I wish they had made a series out of the Tales of the Slayers graphic "novel" (really an anthology). It's too bad the focus always ends up shifting from slayer to vampire, especially when Tales of the Slayers was so excellent, really the best Buffy tie-in comic I've read, and made me want to hear about more slayers, not really more vampires. Alas, a good story is a good story, I guess.
I read the first issue and just bought issue 2 today. I even based an RPG character on Joss Whedon's Stacy from the first issue. That was my favorite story in that comic.

I love these stories. I love the slayer/vampire lore. I agree with skyMatrix, I want more slayer stories told by Joss & Co.

I do think there will be a twist at the end involving the junior watchers and the vampire. I don't know what it is but I hope it's not the obvious one.
Does anyone have a good recomendation for a website where I can get comic books such as the tales of the vampire series? I live an hour+ away from any comic store, and there are a few books that I would like to pick up and preferably subscribe to.

You would think that Dark Horse Marvel etc would offer subscriptions much like regular magazines but I have not been able to find them.

Thanks
You can order all of those comic books from Things From Another World, at http://www.tfaw.com

I previously ordered the Fray series and Tales of the Slayers from them. It took them a while to process my order, but otherwise everything went fine.
