R.I.P. Kathryn Joosten. Best known for playing Mrs. Landingham on The West Wing, she also played Genevieve Holt in the Buffy episode "Where the Wild Things Are".

That's so sad. She was such a reassuring presence on most shows, and sorta a hero of mine since she was something of a "late bloomer" only starting acting in 1995.
She was such a charming actress, and by all accounts a lovely lady.
She was a fine and memorable actress. This is so sad. :(
Oh no. I loved her as Mrs. Landingham. Damn cancer.
She actually started acting in 1984.
Loved her on Desperate Housewives. She was a great comedic actress. RIP. "Yeah lady, well she who smelt it, dealt it!"

That's very sad. I remember her turn on Scrubs as being the first time the series really showed what it could do (which, to be fair to the series, was like episode 2 or so). And of course, her Mrs. Landingham was one of the more lovable characters TV has ever given us.
Although I hadn't watched Desperate Housewives since Nathan was on it, I decided to watch the series finale and now I'm glad I did, as she played a rather important role in it. (She's been a supporting actor on the show for years.) And though her character was dying on the show, I wondered if she were sick in real life.

In her honour tonight I watched the last three episodes of The West Wing Season 2, including, of course, "The Two Cathedrals".
This is really sad - she was brilliant in The West Wing. :(
This is really sad. She was always amazing, I especially loved her role as Mrs. Landingham, but she also was brilliant as McCluskey on Desperate Housewives and in many other roles.
Very sad. I'm glad they gave her a big role in the series finale of "Desperate Housewives," as it seems like this was a chance for her coworkers to honor her while she was still alive in real life.
She'll always be Mrs Landingham to me. "Two Cathedrals" is some of the best television ever.

Dang. I remember her appearing in almost every show I've ever watched. A sad thing to realise now that she won't be in another.
Mrs. Landingham, the door keeps blowing open.
R.I.P. She was also great as one of the God avatars on Joan of Arcadia.
