Marvel's Editor-In- Chief hits out at Joss Whedon New X-Men rumour. Joe Quesada says "I hate to break it to the fans, but this stuff about Whedon and Cassaday doing New X-Men is just a nasty rumor".

Still not convinced, but apparently Marvel are making a major announcement in two weeks time. So we will see then.

Note how Quesada talks about "Grant Morisson's successor" and that Joss won't be writing "New X-Men." Not Grant's successor on New X-Men, or that Joss won't be writing any X-Men series.

This is very much Joe Quesada teasing, if you ask me. I take it New X-Men will end, and Joss will be writing the replacement title, featuring a different name. "Astonishing X-Men," is the latest rumour.
