I dunno...Morena's got the double whammy of being of Mediterranean extract and raised in Brazil and all, but she's fairly pale compared to some South Americans I've seen.

Plus, Inara herself (as a character) spent a lot of time in enclosed spaces like Serenity proper and her shuttle, so I could see her being paler due to lack of natural sunlight until she started at the Training House :P
