Shiny! Top 10 reasons why seafarers love Joss Whedon's Firefly. The fact that people are still writing great Firefly articles like this is awesome.

It's made my day.
Love it! Years ago I did get to spend a few days now & then on an 80-foot mission boat so I can relate to the comparisons.
Holy schneike! Did anyone notice the quilt hanging over Kaylee's bed in the first screenshot?! It's a flotilla of enemies from Galaga or Space Invaders! This is the freakiest bit of foreshadowing ever! But awesome freaky!

:D
It's really not. But funny, in a Serenity pots and pans sort of way.

From the comments: "The Ballad of Serenity is the shantiest shanty that has ever been shantied."

And this is why I love English.
Must you always spoil my fun, b!X?! I mean, I don't come around and poo-poo your possible fantasies, do I?

:P

And ManEnoughToAdmitIt? I so have to issue and "Ditto!" is actually isn't funny!
Great blog post! and it's all just as appropriate for the tight quarters when an army unit is deployed, either on an exercise or in battle. Going for a run is usually frowned upon on the front lines. ;)
