Science Channel marathons Firefly on July 4th. Press release invites "viewers to celebrate by choosing Browncoats over redcoats and tuning in for an all-day marathon of its 2002 hit series FIREFLY". Here is their schedule page.

Complementing the 10th anniversary reunion panel that will be held at this year's San Diego Comic -Con on July 13, the event will reintroduce viewers to the adventures of Capt. Malcom "Mal" Reynolds and his spaceship crew as they seek out (extraterrestrial) life, liberty and pursue happiness.

I wonder if they will tease their December special during this.
Yes! I have 40 people coming to my house and I can put that on in the background and get everyone to ask -- "What's that?" heheheheheee
Hann23: you have 40 friends who haven't watched Firefly? ... I blame the parents. And you. Sorry, but you just clearly have not done your duty as a Browncoat there... but, sounds like at least a step in the right direction ;)
"Hit" series. Heh.
Well, it probably is for Science Channel.
And it may have sold over 1 million DVDs and Blu-rays by now. Just guessing.
Wait wait wait....."Browncoats over redcoats" and "seek out (extraterrestrial) life?" I get the whole let's-tie-it-in-to-Independence-Day, but wow. Have they seen the show? (And yes, that's a rhetorical question...I know they've done this marathon several times.)
Well, the more apropos tie-in for me (rather than the "...coats" thing) would be that Mal fought for the "gorram Independents", hence the Independence Day marathon. Too obvious?

I realize this. It still sounds funny.
