Chris Hemsworth lands lead role in Spielberg's next film,"Robopocalypse". According to Deadline, The Cabin in The Woods and Avengers star is Spielberg's top choice for the apocalyptic robot film due on April 25, 2014.

The script is from Drew Goddard.

I read the book, it's a lesser World War Z. But I will be interested to see how Drew pulls it off.
I was geeking out about Chris Hemsworth and then I saw "Drew Goddard" and lost my mind. WOW.
This should be awesome. Could someone please get Joss in a room with Spielberg too though, please? I think their clashing styles could make for some good stuff.

So it just hit me that Spielberg has most likely seen Cabin. That is pretty cool.
I'm even more excited for Drew Goddard than I am for Chris Hemsworth (and I'm pretty darn excited for him too!).
Every time I see Chris on screen I can't help but swoon...
