AMC's Great Film Quotes of the 2000s. A Serenity Quote makes the list, but maybe not the one you expected.

-Yes, this is relatively old news, but I couldn't find it posted anywhere.

Hard to take seriously any "best of" list that includes Gigli and X3.
"My precious."
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)

Heh.
Glitter and Gigli...'nuff said.
Agreed, MarcLHar. That quote in X3 was part of an internet meme to begin with and shouldn't be remembered as any great quote from a movie. And Gigli is not an American movie classic unless we are now including classically horrible movies in that description.
I liked the list. It's not a "Best of" for films, simply a list of memorable quotes. I thought it amusing that Jewel's quote won out over "I aim to misbehave", "Oh God, Oh God, we're all going to die", and so many other great Serenity Quotes.

"Trap."

:D
Isn't "Oh God, Oh God, we're all going to die" from "Firefly" not "Serenity"? "I'm a leaf on the wind" on the other hand...
Barboo: "Define 'interesting'".

Right at the beginning before they do the robbery.
I love any dialogue that points up Jayne's sense of self-preservation (over anyone else's):

"ZoŽ: Do you really think any of us is gonna get through this?
[looks at the other crew members struggling with their guns]

Jayne Cobb: Well, I might."

You have to know the film though, and the visuals, along with the vocals, to really get how frigging funny that is.
They also have a bunch of Toy Story quotes in their 90s list.
Truthfully, that's actually the quote that really stuck with me. Sure, it's a little bawdy but the use of the language and that everything in that interchange is absolutely pitch-perfect for the characters.

There are quite a few quotes that people bring up from that movie that are funny, but don't feel nearly as organic to the story to me.
Oh, right VicTopher, I was confusing it with "Oh my God who's flying this thing?" So many quotes, so few brain cells left.
Gotta love Kaylee!

"The United States does not negotiate with terrorists" is also from Air Force One. I also like "...and play catch with his goddamned balls."
More surprising than their choice of the Kaylee quote (personally, I'd have gone with "what's your sin?" "Aw, hell I'm a fan of all seven.") or picking anything from Gigli, is the fact that they're still using .wav files. Seriously, what is this, 1998? ;)
They've issued a statment saying they are converting their .wavs to .rm/.ram pairs ;)

(the above is patently false :))
I like wav files, reminds me of searching the interweb for Buffy wav files to put as my start-up sound. Currently rocking 'Curse your sudden but ineviatble betrayal' and 'Grr Arg' for the shut down.
