Joss Whedon - Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.. A fantastic take on the classic Jim Steranko cover art.

Shiny new iPad wallpaper :)
Is the new Avengers TV show going to be called S.H.I.E.L.D.? Because that would be confusing since there's already a show called The Shield.
Well, The Shield left the airwaves many many years ago so I don't think there would be much confusion.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if they end up using a different name.
Yes, it is called S.H.I.E.L.D. While Avengers universe, it isn't an Avengers spin off.
I'm betting the series will have a subtitle.
ABC love the one-word titles.
The spin off would be S.W.O.R.D.
I love that this is an easy title to copyright/trademark (because of the initials), and it seems to me to be a shout out to 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E." (I'm betting it would draw in a lot of older viewers who will think of that show when they seen this one on the schedule). I really think this show has a good chance to attract viewers (particularly everyone who saw 'Avengers') and be an entertaining successful show (fingers crossed).
Darkness I hate when my S.W.O.R.D. goes spinning off.

As to that
never knew Mr Whedon had such ripped abs
Not to mention the delicate ankles.
SHIELD and UNCLE were both coat-tailing the James Bond craze, of course, and are contemporary with each other, mid-1960's.

Those un-exposed will be well-served by finding the Steranko/SHIELD stuff from that era...ground-breaking, and I know that Joss and team will bring the whiz-bang to evoke that greatness!

Just keepin' the historical peace, heh.
