Drew Goddard answers fan questions on his work. Drew Goddard, director of Cabin in the Woods, answers fan questions on io9, live at 1 p.m. PST.

Now reorganised into readable format. Some very good and even more very funny answers. And he got to my question after the interview had closed! :D
The fresca/joss bit was one of my favorite parts. In part because I love fresca.
He answered mine, too, and his answers showed a lot of humor. Definitely one of the better ask me anything esque panels I've seen done.
Gotta ask -- when the designers of the control facility built in a PURGE button right by the elevators, odds are they weren't thinking of loosing the contents of the boxes on the compound. But in what context *did* they imagine it would be used?

This is definitely the best reason for it to be there.
Agreed. It explains it perfectly, logically and reasonably to anyone's satisfaction, justifying it BEYOND QUESTION. FOREVER.
It's so obvious now he mentions it.
