"And working up a load of sexual tension and prancing away like a magnificent poof is truly thanks enough."

'BDSM in American Science Fiction and Fantasy' gets released this week. Two Whedonverse chapters appear in the book - "'Sounds Like Kinky Business to Me': BDSM on Buffy and Angel" and "It's About Trust': Slavery and Ethics in the Dollhouse".

The Buffyverse chapter is presumably adapted from the author's paper which can be found on Slayage.

Wow, $70? I'll have to wait for the paperback version. Looks interesting.
This looks like it could be rather good, depending on the quality of the contributions. But I too won't be buying it at that price. On the positive side, since Palgrave Macmillan are putting out a hardcover, it seems likely that they are aiming to sell copies to university libraries. That suggests these papers are aimed at an academic audience. Not always a good thing, of course, but it means it might be more up my street than, for example, the various Philosophy and The Matrix style books. Though they can be good in their own way.
o_O
.... that's a bit steep for 240 pages
A book on BDSM in sci-fi/fantasy and no chapters on Farscape? Tsk. Tsk.
