Joss Whedon talks about his reaction to his most Marvel-ous year. This is part of Entertainment Weekly's "Entertainer of the Year" feature on Joss (and yes, the outline for Avengers 2 is done).

I'm a little sad the writer of this didn't get the Cabin reference. On the other hand, oh Joss, you are hilarious as always. Can't wait to see the rest of this feature!
I love the way Joss manages to put a piece of himself in every. single. character.
Hmmm, has there been a purple Hulk yet? JOSS SMASH!
Possibly because Joss said something at the time, and I just forgot, but I always very much saw Hulk as the Joss-like character in that sense. Not that I think of Joss as an angry man, but it's just such a personal interpretation of the character it was hard to think it didn't come from personal experience.
"Oh, and there was Marvelís The Avengers. Whedon wrote and directed that, too. Grossed $1.5 billion worldwide. Maybe you saw it."

LOL, yeah I think maybe a couple of us went to see that little film....
I totally feel like a hipster when I talk about Joss Whedon to people now. "I liked Joss Whedon before it was cool."
@war_machine I feel less like a hipster and more like a bratty little kid. "I *told* you he was awesome." "Na-na-nana-na." "I was right and you were wrong; I'm gonna sing the I-was-right song!"
I want to see the outline for Avengers 2.
