December 18 2012

Felicia Day makes an appearance in YouTube's "2012 in Review". A parady/homage to the most popular videos of 2012.

This is really funny, and it a good recap of a lot of 2012 silliness (I'm really glad Felicia is included!).
Awesome. The behind the scenes vid is also great.
Guess it's just me but this video really annoys me. It's supposed to be youtube celebrating the year in web video, right?
And yet all it amounts to is parodies of two popular songs with lots of web-celebrity cameos. It's the sort of thing I expect from TV not the internet.
Not sure why people are falling all over it, I guess they just like seeing lots of people they like or recognize in the same video regardless of the quality of the content.
Or I'm just a grumpy cynic.
I was fortunate enough to do a day of steadicam on this. It was a lot of fun, very happy with the way it came out. Peter, the Director, and Catherine, the DP, cranked out a great and fun video!

I was there shooting Felicia (first time since Lust For Love last year!) with the car, the guy on the car, the people in the garage, and I shot the parking garage dance off. I'm all up in the beginning of the BTS, lookin' busy when I'm not :)

How *is* Love for Love coming along? I rather expected the Kickstarter contributors to get some sort of an update by now.
Last I heard was from Felicia while we were shooting the Youtube video. She said Maurissa had seen a recent edit and said it was very good. Other than that I know it's been submitted to Sundance and SXSW. Regardless of those I expect it'll be finished in the next couple months or so (that's just a guess), but I have no idea what that would mean for distribution for backers' rewards though.

I DO know that Anton is very dedicated to taking care of all the backers and that's been one of the big motivators that's kept things moving and getting things done.
@Kzap - I suppose the key to getting maximum enjoyment out of this video is having familiarity with every video it's trying to reference. Because I think its specific goal was to do a mash-up of the top 10 trending YT videos of the year, which were the following (list provided below). I myself am not familiar with all of those 10 vids. But for the videos I am familiar with, I can indeed see winks and visual references embedded within the Rewind video...
